Ron Slotin - principal

before trio i was -

publisher of a magazine, founder of a TV series, working in business development in Brazil and becoming one of the youngest state senators in Georgia history using the slogan “Votin’ for Slotin.” With that slogan, I always knew I was destined to run for office.

what i enjoy most about my job is -

coming up with new things that no one else is doing. Why copy other people when you can create something original? If you have a vision for your company, we want to take that passion and make it a reality. Life is short; go for it.

when i am not at trio i -

am usually playing basketball, training for triathlons, coaching my kids in their sports — or recovering from these activities.

i like to listen to-

the iPod playlist I made with the kids. I’m keeping up with all the latest dance songs, and they actually like some of my picks. My son asked me what would happen if Alice Cooper ran for president. I said I didn't know what would happen. My son said school would be out forever.

the best piece of advice i've ever received is -

from when I was in politics. My dad said if I was ever in a jam on a tough issue to remember what Herman Talmadge used to say: “Some of my friends are for it, some of my friends are against it, and I'm with my friends.”
